The Early Days
Seven months of posting before the first viral moment
I started Kodiak's channel because I was constantly taking photos and videos of him and wanted to one day have a library of his life.

The 'River' Crossing

While traveling in Slovenia a friend of ours filmed us as Kodiak explored a 'raging river' that surprised us with the most viral clip we've been a part of to date.
This is where everything changed.

Adventure Cat Training
Learning how to adventure together
I've been nomadic for over a decade and when Kodi came around I knew he'd need to be trained and prepared to adapt to my lifestyle. I walked Kodiak every day for the first year of his life (still do 😸), traveled with him multiple times over the Atlantic, and shared what we learned along the way.

Moving to the U.S. & Full-Time Van Life
A new home. A new continent. A new way of living.
When Kodiak turned 3 we moved back to the U.S. into a van full-time. We migrate with the seasons and host group camping experiences for nomads, van lifers, and outdoor enthusiasts through our 'Pop-Up Nomads' community.

Kitty City
A 'McDonald's Play Place' for Traveling Cats
Kodiak was a COVID kitty and grew up without much interaction with other cats. When I started hosting community spaces for nomads and vanlifers, I wanted to give him a safe way to meet some kitty friends too.
So I asked the TikTok community for help—and they delivered. Together, we funded a massive traveling catio that became Kitty City: a place where Kodiak learned to socialize, made new friends, and now travels with us around the country.

Original Music
'The Travel Cat Album'
In late 2025, Kodiak’s stories started turning into songs. A random idea became an excuse for me to get back into music, learn ukulele, and start producing in Logic Pro.
Since then, the songs have grown into a new part of @KodiakTheTravelCat—original music about his life, our travels, Kitty City, and all the little moments that have become part of our story.
